Castro Valley National Junior Basketball (NJB) is a non-profit organization founded in 1985 to provide a quality basketball program for the youth of Castro Valley. Dozens of volunteers are required each year to coordinate all the activities required to operate the program. Each year improvements are made to the program for the enjoyment of the players, coaches, and parents. It is important each parent of a player contribute voluntary time during the course of the season.
Volunteering is a rewarding experience and a great way to get involved with the community. As a volunteer you will be a contributing member of a quality youth sports program. Your assistance will ensure that Castro Valley NJB is able to continue providing our children with a friendly, safe and fun environment to learn about the game of basketball.
As a volunteer you will also learn new skills and improve the ones you already have. You will also have the satisfaction of watching the youth of our community and their excitement on and off the court as they learn valuable lessons, skills, sportsmanship and what it means to be a member of a team.
