Dear Prospective Sponsor,
National Junior Basketball is requesting your assistance in sponsoring a team for the
upcoming basketball season. We are a youth basketball league designed to give children
in grades 3 through 12 an opportunity to be in a quality situation to enjoy the sport
and improve their skills. Castro Valley/San Leandro/San Lorenzo chapter is an
IRS Section 501(c) nonprofit organization and is also part of National Junior Basketball
League, a national non-profit organization. National Junior Basketball is 20 years old
and has over 35,000 participants in 15 states.
Each player pays a registration fee, which covers uniforms, insurance, game referees, and
a picture package. The local chapter must raise funds to cover other expenses such as
renting gymnasiums for league game and practice facilities. Our gym fees this season are
approximately $35,000.00. Fundraising and sponsorships are primary methods to meet these
expenses.
This league is unique in that we accept all children on a first come first served basis.
We focus on fundamentals and sportsmanship. In addition, we grant hardship cases for
families who cannot afford to pay the registration fee for their child to play in our
league. Money should never be an issue for a child to participate in youth community
sports.
In exchange for your sponsorship of $200.00, we will show our appreciation in the
following ways:
*NJB Sponsor Plaque with the team's picture
*Your name or company name placed on our league's banner at our game sites
*Your name or company name on our website
*Your name or company name in the National Tournament Program at the end of the season
All donations are tax deductible.
